Sacred Pause is a time to stop, breathe, and gently check in with your nervous system.
It’s not a workshop to complete or a practice to perfect. It’s a held hour to slow down, co-regulate, learn a little, and notice how your body has been responding to life lately. Nothing fancy. Nothing to keep up with. Just a pause.
WHAT HAPPENS IN SACRED PAUSE?
We will meet once a month on a Saturday afternoon.
Each month centres around a different theme drawn from somatic and nervous system work.
You don’t need prior experience or even to understand what somatics is to belong here. You don’t need to feel calm already.
You’re welcome to arrive exactly as you are. You can expect:
01: A short, accessible nervous system teaching
02: Simple somatic practices you can do seated, lying down, or resting
03: Space to co-regulate together
04: Gentle reflection on how your nervous system has been coping
05: Small, practical insights you can carry into everyday life

Nope, this will be a gentle introduction to nervous system and somatics. It’s an invitation to cultivate a Sacred Pause in your month. It is for total beginners to this work and for anyone who has been in this work for a while.

Meet your Facilitator
Hi, I’m Maxine!
I started practicing Yoga ten years ago and became curious how a group of people, each carrying very different struggles, could gather & practice yoga together and generally leave feeling a little lighter.
I began Yoga teacher training in 2020 and kept pulling on that thread. This led me to specialise in Yoga & the Nervous System, which led me to specialise in Yoga for trauma, which led me to Somatics and finally to specialise in Somatics for the female nervous system.
I am now a trauma trained yoga and somatic practitioner and my study continues…
