A gentle 60-minute workshop to help you understand what your female nervous system truly needs during the Inner Winter phase — whether that’s your menstrual bleed, postpartum, first trimester, or menopause transition.

WHAT IS INNER WINTER?

In cyclical living, Inner Winter is present through these major thresholds:

⟶ The bleed phase in your menstrual cycle

⟶ The first trimester of pregnancy

⟶ Postpartum (especially the early days/weeks)

⟶ Menopause transition

Each of these phases changes your heart rate variability and nervous system activation. Knowing this gives you permission to stop fighting your biology and start working with it.

Learn why your energy dips, emotions deepen, and sensitivity increases during this phase, and discover simple somatic tools to support rest, regulation, and reconnection.

This is your permission to slow down and work with your biology instead of against it.

In the female body, your nervous system and hormonal cycle are inseparable.

When you understand the dominance of Sympathetic vs Parasympathetic energy in this phase, everything starts to make more sense — your emotions, energy dips, sensitivity, overstimulation, even decision-making.

This workshop will help you:

✔ Understand what's actually happening in your body during Inner Winter
✔ Learn cycle-aware nervous system support tools you can use immediately
✔ Experience somatic practices to gently connect with your body (even if you struggle to feel sensations)
✔ Leave feeling more resourced, less confused by your own body, and more confident in meeting your needs

We begin with simple education on the Inner Winter nervous system state before moving into:

① Soft somatic practices you can do lying down or resting

Practical tools for supporting your system in this phase

③ Reflection on how you relate to visibility, connection, and being seen

Think comfy clothes, your favorite crystal, a warm drink in hand and a quiet hour to attune to your own rhythm.

Hi, I’m Maxine!

I started practicing Yoga ten years ago and became curious how a group of people, each carrying very different struggles, could gather & practice yoga together and generally leave feeling a little lighter. 

I began Yoga teacher training in 2020 and kept pulling on that thread. This led me to specialise in Yoga & the Nervous System, which led me to specialise in Yoga for trauma, which led me to Somatics and finally to specialise in Somatics for the female nervous system.

I am now a trauma trained yoga and somatic practitioner and my study continues…
