#3 INNER SUMMER

A spacious 60-minute workshop to help you understand what your female nervous system truly needs during the Inner Summer phase — whether that’s ovulation in your monthly cycle or active birth.

This is not a “be more productive” session.
This is a grounded space to explore power, visibility, expansion, and how to stay regulated when your energy is high and outward-facing.

WHAT IS INNER SUMMER?

In cyclical living, Inner Summer is present through these major thresholds:

⟶ Ovulation phase of your menstrual cycle

⟶ Active birth

These are phases of heightened energy, increased social engagement, and outward focus.

Your nervous system has more capacity for Sympathetic activation here — not in a stress way, but in a taking action, mobilised, alive way. Heart rate variability shifts. Communication sharpens. There can be clarity, confidence, and magnetism.

But without awareness, this is also where overgiving, overcommitting, or pushing beyond your true capacity can happen.

Understanding this phase gives you permission to channel your energy intentionally instead of burning through it.

In the female body, expansion still needs regulation and resourcing.

When you understand how your nervous system behaves during Inner Summer, things begin to make sense — your desire to connect, create, share, speak, lead, or be seen.

This workshop will help you:

✔ Understand what’s happening in your body during ovulation and active birth
✔ Learn how to work with heightened energy without tipping into depletion
✔ Explore somatic practices to stay grounded while expanded
✔ Reflect on your relationship to visibility, voice, and power
✔ Leave feeling energised but anchored, confident but resourced

This is a live, guided and held space — no cameras needed if you prefer privacy.

We’ll begin with simple education on the Inner Summer nervous system state before moving into:

① Somatic practices that support grounded expansion

② Practical tools to prevent over-giving during high-energy phases

③ Reflection on how you relate to visibility, connection, and being seen

Think open windows, fresh air, loose clothing, maybe bare feet on the floor and a quiet hour to reconnect with your power without pressure.

Hi, I’m Maxine!

I started practicing Yoga ten years ago and became curious how a group of people, each carrying very different struggles, could gather & practice yoga together and generally leave feeling a little lighter. 

I began Yoga teacher training in 2020 and kept pulling on that thread. This led me to specialise in Yoga & the Nervous System, which led me to specialise in Yoga for trauma, which led me to Somatics and finally to specialise in Somatics for the female nervous system.

I am now a trauma trained yoga and somatic practitioner and my study continues…
